Superstar Rajinikanth’s “Kochadaiiyaan” has received a clean ‘U’ certificate, without any cuts, from the censor board.

Mediaone Global, one of the banners that are producing “Kochadaiiyaan,” has confirmed the news.

We are happy to share that Tamil version film “Kochadaiiyaan” has recd censor approval with U certificate and without any cuts,” Mediaone Global posted the message on their official twitter handle.

The film’s release date is expected to be announced soon.

Earlier, the film’s release date was announced as 11 April. However, there has been buzz that the release date might get pushed. The makers are yet to confirm as to when “Kochadaiiyaan” will be hitting the screens.

The film’s release date will be announced by the end of this week, according to entertainment industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai.

Directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, “Kochadaiiyaan” is touted to be India’s first 3D film with motion-capturing techniques. The film has Deepika Padukone, Aadhi, Nassar, Shobana, Jackie Shroff and Sarathkumar in pivotal roles.

Recently, the film’s music was released in a grand audio launch held in Chennai, for which “Kochadaiiyaan” cast and crew, Bollywood  actor Shah Rukh Khan and several celebrities from the Tamil film industry attended. A large number of fans had also thronged the audio launch event to get a glimpse of their Thalaivar.

The songs, composed by AR Rahman, have turned out be chartbusters. The film’s trailer that was also released during the audio launch has received positive feedback from fans. The trailer has received more than 30 lakh hits as on Thursday (20 March).

The epic drama flick is gearing up for a big release during summer. The Rajini starrer is likely to be released in six Indian languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Punjabi, Bhojpuri and Marathi.

SRK to repay Rajinikanth, will attend Kochadaiiyaan music launch – INDIA TODAY

Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan will grace the audio launch of superstar Rajinikanth’s Tamil period-drama “Kochadaiiyaan”on Sunday.

“Shah Rukh Khan has agreed to attend the audio launch on Sunday. When Soundarya Ashwin Rajinikanth called and requested him to be present at the event, he instantly agreed. He said that it’s like his own film and he’ll be there,” Rajinikanth’s manager told IANS.

SRK’s spokesperson confirmed his presence too. “Kochadaiiyaan”, which is supposedly India’s first motion capture photo-realistic animated film, is directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya.

The film also features Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shroff, R. Sarath Kumar, Aadi Pinisetty and Shobana in important roles.

Touted to be made along the lines of Hollywood films “Avatar” and “Tin Tin”, the film is jointly produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment.

Rajinikanth’s ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ Trailer Confirmed to Release on 9 March – IB TIMES.CO.IN

The official trailer of Rajinikanth’s “Kochadaiiyaan” will be released on 9 March along with the film’s audio. 

“Kochadaiiyaan” music and trailer launch is all set to take place at Chennai’s Satyam Cinemas on 9 March. Confirming the news, film’s director Soundarya Rajinikanth tweeted: “Audio & trailer launch on 9 March in Satyam at 10:30am.  It’s official :)”

The event will be a grand affair with the presence of film’s cast and crew including Rajinikanth, director Soundarya, music composer AR Rahman among others. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who plays the female lead in “Kochadaiiyaan,” and Amitabh Bachchan are expected to attend the launch event.

Soundarya revealed on her Twitter  handle that the trailer of “Kochadaiiyaan” has received a clean U-certificate from the censor board. “Glad to inform, got the Theaterical trailer of Kochadaiiyaan censored today ( U-certificate) in Tamil&Hindi. Vikaramasimha censored in Telugu,” Rajinikanth’s younger daughter tweeted.

On Friday, Soundarya released the “Karbonn Kochadaiiyaan Signature Phone Series” at an event held in Chennai. Speaking to reporters at the event, Soundarya gave out some interesting tidbits about her father and her directorial debut flick. In response to a question on ‘directing’ her father, Soundarya revealed that her father was feeling awkward while shooting romantic scenes with Deepika Padukone. She also said that she would love to work with him once again, if given an opportunity.

The “Kochadaiiyaan” director also shared some details about her first film. Soundarya revealed that the legendardy actor Nagesh, who passed away in 2009, has been resurrected to a role. The film’s team has got somebody to imitate the thespian’s body language and those movements have been captured on computer and translated into a life-like manner on screen.

Speaking about the delay in the films’ release, Soundarya said, “Films like Kochadaiiyaan will take 5-6 years for its making. Like how Avatar was in the making for 5-6 years because of the post production works which gobble up a large amount of time. That’s the reason why we couldn’t release Kochadaiiyaan as promised earlier,” according to Cinemalead.

In a shocking revelation, the young director said that “Kochadaiiyaan” release date is not fixed yet. Earlier, Kochadaiiyaan’s press release confirmed the film’s release date as 11 April. Now, Soundarya’s announcement has surprised the industry, as many screens have planned it for 11 April.

“Kochadaiiyaan,” touted to be an historical drama, is one of the most-awaited films of 2014. The Rajini starrer is said to be the first Indian film to have used motion-capturing techniques.The film, made on a big budget over ₹100 crore, is jointly produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment.

‘Kochadaiiyaan’ Audio Launch: Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Expected to Attend – IBTIMES.CO.IN

The audio launch of magnum opus “Kochadaiiyaan” is expected to be a grand affair with the presence of some of the Indian film industry’s biggest stars.

According to reports,bollywood  actor Amitabh Bachchan will be launching the film’s audio at a grand event to be held at Satyam cinemas on 9 March. “Kochadaiiyaan” lead actors Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone are likely to attend the event. Besides these stars, film’s music composer AR Rahman, director Soundarya and other cast, crew members are expected to be present at the occasion.

The epic drama is one of the most-awaited films of 2014. The film was expected to hit screens in 2013, but its release has been delayed multiple times owing to the post-production work. Earlier, the audio launch was supposed to be held on 28 February, but it was postponed as the team was readying the film’s trailer, which is likely to be unveiled at the audio launch function.

“Kochadaiiyaan” marks the directorial debut of Soundarya, who is the younger daughter of Rajini. The film is touted to be India’s first 3D project that uses motion capture technology.

The Rajini starrer has been under production for the last three years. Post the stupendous success of “Endhiran” in 2010, there were reports that Rajini was doing films such as “Sultan” and “Rana.” However, the actor’s health faced a set back and he was admitted to a hospital in 2011. Following his recovery, “Kochadaiiyaan” (under his daughter’s direction) was announced.

Deepika was confirmed to play the female lead, while other cast members included Aadhi, Sarathkumar, Nassar, Jackie Shroff and Shobana. Although the film’s cast has completed their portions, the post production work which involves lot of CG work has been delaying the film’s release.

Last year, a small teaser of “Kochadaiiyaan” and a single track from the film was released to appease the fans who were waiting to see their “Thalaivar” on screen. The videos received good response from fans and has generated high expectations on the film’s music album as well as its trailer.

“Kochadaiiyaan” is gearing up for a massive release on 11 April. The film will be released in different versions including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Bengali and Bhojpuri among others.

Superstar Rajinikanth to Work with KS Ravikumar after ‘Kochadaiiyaan’? – IBTIMES.CO.IN

Rajinikanth’s “Kochadaiiyaan” is yet to hit the screens but speculations surrounding the superstar’s next film have started to emerge.

Rumour has it that Rajinikanth has been approached with scripts by top directors, such as Shankar, KS Ravi Kumar and KV Anand. And according to reliable sources, the superstar has chosen Ravi Kumar’s script, reported behind woods.

Earlier, speculations were rife that post “Kochadaiiyaan”, Rajinikanth will be working in “Rana” and the film will be directed by Ravi Kumar. But it seems the script that Rajinikanth has selected is not “Rana” but a different one. Apparently, the film will be produced by Rockline Productions’s Venkatesh. The website reports that the film might go on floors by the end of March or April. However, there has been no official confirmation about the project yet.

The superstar, who was last seen in Shankar’s 2010 release “Endhiran”, will be making a comeback of sorts with “Kochadaiiyaan.” It has been more than a year since the film went on floors. The magnum opus, helmed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, is one of the most awaited films of 2014.

The Rajini starrer, touted as an epic drama, will have the superstar appearing in dual roles. Other cast members include Deepika Padukone, Aadhi, Sarathkumar, Jackie Shroff, Shobana and Nassar.

“Kochadaiiyaan”, made on a budget of over ₹100 crore, is jointly produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment. The film’s music, composed by Oscar-winner AR Rahman, will be released in March. The exact date for the audio launch is not revealed, though certain reports suggest it would be on 9 March. The film’s trailer is also expected to be released on the same day.

The epic drama is all set to hit the screens on 11 April. It will be released in around 6,000 screens worldwide and in various languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Bhojpuri, Bengali and Punjabi.

And, in a major brand tie-up, Eros International and Mediaone have also tied up with Karbonn Mobile to launch 1 million ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ branded phones to celebrate the release of the film.

The exclusive Karbonn ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ mobile phones will have screen savers and must-have images from the film along with the trailer and the signature tune of the film. These special Kochadaiiyaan mobile phones are intended to launch in February 2014, during the songs launch of the film.

Rajinikanth’s ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ features the unique visual mastery of Photorealistic Performance Capture technology for the very first time in the history of an Indian film. This technology has been previously seen in Hollywood masterpieces as Avatar, Tin Tin and Beowulf.

Kochadaiiyaan is an epic dramatization of good versus evil starring South Indian megastar Rajinikanth in a double role in a larger than life depiction. Rajinikanth’s ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ to be dubbed in Telugu

New Delhi: Superstar Rajinikanth-starrer ‘Kochadaiiyaan’, which is being referred to as the first movie to be shot with motion capture in 3D, along the lines of Hollywood films ‘Tin Tin’ and ‘Avatar’, will be released in multiple languages.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the languages in which the film will be released. “#Kochadaiiyaan to release in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Bhojpuri, Bengali and Punjabi in India and Overseas in more than 6,000 screens,” his tweet read.

The film will also be released in English language. “The makers of #Kochadaiiyaan will be releasing an English version internationally as well. Stars Rajinikanth Sir and @deepikapadukone,” his next tweet read.

Rajinikanth was mistaken for a beggar

     

 

    Tales of Superstar Rajinikanth’s simplicity are legendary. Given his stature, it is worth talking about it. While his spiritual trip to the Himalayas is a known fact, here is something most didn’t know about.
     It is said that once when Rajinikanth was inside a temple in his usual simple dress, he sat down near a pillar for sometime. A lady in her 40’s, who didn’t know about Rajinikanth, crossed the star actor. Looking at him, she mistook the star for a beggar and offered him 10 rupees to him.

     A young lady, recalling this incident, said she would have shouted at the person had she been offered money in this manner, but the great man that Rajini is, he kept quiet and took the money offered with a smile. While Rajinikanth was leaving the temple, he headed toward his car and the lady who had offered him money noticed this and ran towards him. The lady apologized to the actor and said she committed this mistake taking him to be a beggar.

     The superstar simply responded by saying that it is indeed God’s way of reminding him every now and then where his place really is and that he isn’t a superstar.Only Rajinikanth can speak with such humility.

‘வீரம்’, ‘ஜில்லா’, ‘கோச்சடையான்’ ஆகிய படங்கள் பொங்கலுக்கு வெளியாகும் என்று அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக அறிவித்தார்கள். ஆனால், ‘கோச்சடையான்’ பொங்கல் வெளியீட்டில் இருந்து பின்வாங்குவது உறுதியாகிவிட்டது.
